Today we’ll explore two first art clusters appeared in Russia — ArtPlay and Winzavod! They were inspired by London and NY galleries that occupy former industrial spaces. Winzavod is the centre of contemporary art and a former wine factory. We’ll visit some of the galleries situated in its territory, make impressive shots in front of the colourful murals and learn a bit about the state of Russian art. If we’re lucky enough we can also see some of the young artist at work at the open studios. For true art lovers and experts there’s also a chance to buy some paintings or other works of art. Here you can visit some local artisan shops and find unique souvenirs Made In Russia: notebooks, pencils, jewellery, pins, bags, clothing items, postcards, etc.
ArtPlay is much bigger than Winzavod and is more about Moscow trendiest studios, interior design, education and cafés. We’ll explore its territory, browse through the shop selling cups, t-shirts, hats and magnets with prints made by autistic artists. It’s also possible to visit British Higher School of Art and Design and to look at the diploma projects of its students (Generally in June). Being progressive ArtPlay also was the first place in Moscow to accept rubbish for recycling.
After all, we’ll have a snack at the best vegan place in Moscow. It has a great hipster atmosphere and super fresh food. Finally, we can enjoy one of the best panoramic views of Moscow from ArtPlay roof. This Moscow adventure is for sure will be forever in your heart and mind!
